Permanent cosmetics also known as permanent makeup, micro-pigmentation or cosmetic tattooing, is a very specialized form of tattooing. Tattooing is the implanting of pigment through the epidermal layer of the skin into the upper dermal layer of the skin. This allows the natural enhancement of brows, eyeliner without the daily use of makeup, which can be costly and for some allergic reactions to ingredients in certain makeups. Permanent cosmetics differs from tattooing by using pigment as oppose to ink in tattooing, pigments give us the natural colors that we prefer in everyday makeup and is specifically formulated for the face.

Jill Sans considers herself an artist and technician in this medium, as a way to enhance the natural beauty of that individual. She takes each client individually and considers what is best and fitting for each client and not a one brow fits all. There are many different ways to accomplish the desired outcome whether it be creating brows to enhance what is already there or completely creating new brows for non-existing. Brow and eyeliner tattooing can be an incredible way to change a face, to activate confidence in the client and save time in daily routine that really does add up.
